Questions, answered.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is ideal for portraits and short shoots. For events, weddings, and full brand productions, four to eight weeks gives us room to plan locations, crew, and weather.
Do you travel outside NYC?
Yes. Anywhere in the tri-state area is included. Beyond that, travel costs are billed at cost. I’ve shot in LA, Miami, Paris, and Dakar — happy to follow the project.
What’s the difference between portraits and headshots?
Headshots are tight, clean, and built for LinkedIn or a website bio — five to ten frames. A full portrait session is wider in scope: multiple looks, varied lighting, fifteen retouched frames, more storytelling. Different price, different purpose.
Can I get raw files?
Generally no. Color and exposure decisions are part of the work, and a raw file without that grade isn’t really the photo. If there’s a specific reason you need them, we can discuss a license fee.
How do payments work?
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date. The remaining 50% is due before files are delivered. Major cards, ACH, and Zelle are all fine.
